Challenge: We typical make
weekly conference calls with 7 to 8 participants for
about an hour. We left The Conference Depot and tried
a company that solicited our business with a lower conference-calling
rate. It sounded good so we tried the service. The rate
was not as advertised to us. The rate was rounded up
in ten-minute increments and many other hidden costs
were added to the bill. The service did not provide
the International connections and did not have the use
of web Power Point Presentations that we were used to.
The system did not have the easy recording features
we needed and we did not have the friendly, fast, ready
service that we got from The Conference Depot.
Scope of work: Being a nonprofit,
we have to constantly find ways to keep our costs in
line. Yet, we are still a business. We must have effective
presentations, we must have reliability in our business
relationships, and we must have the ability to record
and document very important online or conferencing events.
Result: We now enjoy the
lowest toll free conference calling rates available
in today's market due to the referral program offered
by The Conference Depot. We also have an International
calling plan with toll free numbers from India and other
major parts of the world. We are now using their latest
webcasting technology to make web events easy to make
and perfect in presentation. Their knowledgeable people
also show us ways to make our conference calls more
productive. The Conference Depot has given us the best
service and we will never make the mistake of trying
another service again!
Challenge: As a Not-for-Profit
organization located in North Carolina we host frequent
conference calls with administrators from all states
and other U.S. jurisdictions responsible for planning
and implementing services for children with disabilities.
Due to budget constraints, calls are now limited on
the current system to 80 attendees per conference call
but the demand is growing. Knowing who and what state
agency personnel, service provider, family, and higher
education representative is going to be on the conference
call in advance is critical in order to have an effective
meeting.
Scope of Work: Create a
conferencing strategy that will keep us within our budget,
allow more attendees, and give us the ability to register
and track who is on each call. Make this available nationwide,
24/7.
Result: The Conference Depot
designed a program that incorporates an online registration
process. Now we are able to gauge participation levels
in advance and therefore control costs. In addition,
customizing the online registration form with organization-specific
questions has better prepared us for who will be in
attendance. This allows for a much more effective meeting
and a budget that we can live with!
